An extraordinary piece of work is what I would say about this book. There would be only a very few in this world who would know about the real story of Draupadi. When I started reading this book, I was amazed and surprised to know the real history of Draupadi. She is the epitome of womanhood who wielded so much power and authority during her times. Mahabharat wouldn't have happened if she wasn't there and so as the other stories which are clearly explained in this book.
I loved the writing style of the author which was lucid and appealing. The connection that existed between various characters that found its mention in the book would leave you awestruck. The book has five major parts namely:
1. Draupadi
2. Vedavati
3. Chaya
4. Nalayani and
5. Mother Uma
The story begins when Draupadi, after the Kurukshetra war, went in search of answers to various questions lingering in her mind and found who she truly was through none other than Lord Shiva. I am not writing in detail about this book because it is something you need to read and cherish.
