This is the second book, I had the opportunity and honour to read that was from #Koechlin family. With the foreword from @kalkikanmani , I knew that this is going to be an extraordinary read and I wasn’t wrong.

The protagonist of this novel was Lionel Kalmer who had a troubled childhood despite failing from an affluent family. An incident changes the approach of his teachers and his class mates.

The way prisoners treated in various countries of Europe draws certain attention - Italy, France & Switzerland.

Enrique, a Spanish - bodyguard of Lionel is another main character in the novel.

While Max was on exile, Lionel was a fugitive who abandons his family.
