How to keep yourself stress free and improve your concentration

We live in the 21st Century where technology has shrunk the world. As you know that there are two sides to the coin, this evolution has its own pros and cons. When I was a kid(back in '80s), getting a landline phone connection was a luxury and it would take anywhere between 6 months to 1 year to get a connection after applying for one. I still remember how I use to spend my time doing a lot of physical activity by playing with my neighbour kids in the street. We use to sweat a lot playing various kinds of games like cricket, football, police and robber, flying kites to name a few. Slowly, my attention started turning towards handheld video games which my dad used to bring from Singapore. He has brought a lot of these tiny gadgets and I have played them to my heart's content.

While playing games along with others physically has taught me the importance of teamwork, playing video games has enhanced my concentration. The observations I made during those days were enlisted below:

1. It has helped me master a particular game through constant participation

2. When you keep doing something over a period of time, it helps you in understanding the nuances which in turn helps you in clearing the hurdles much easier

3. You also tend to help others with the knowledge you acquire in a particular field over a period of time

4. You get immense satisfaction that you were able to complete something you took it up

5. Once you master it(the game), you tend to look for the next one.

Based on the above observations, now you would know as to what would have been my next step. Yes, I started looking out for newer games. In the '90s, my dad brought home a TV Video game unit. It wasn't a Play Station or an X-Box but a simple gaming console that has had this cartridge slot where you can buy one which usually comes with an insane number of games like 250,500,1000 to name a few and keep playing them all by connecting the same with a TV. You can play alone or with another person since these usually had two slots. I also remember getting a laser gun along with the joysticks with the unit.

The arrival of this gaming console couldn't have come at a better time since it was then, I was appearing for the Govt exams in my school(as I was studying in Standard 10, a level before the Higher Secondary in India), I noticed that taking a break in between vigorous study schedule has helped me address:

a. Stress

b. Anxiety

c. Concentration issues, to name a few.

I could study well. Though I use to be a brilliant student until Standard 8, diversion in the concentration towards various unnecessary aspects( which is a common scenario during the teenage with few exceptions) saw me staying behind in studies and I had a major scare taking Biology and Maths exams. However, playing video games has increased my concentration and memory recall capacity which helped me in clearing my Standard 10 exams with 72% overall which wasn't bad considering the situation I was in back then.

After that, I did not play games for some time. I started playing it again when I shifted to Bengaluru for Work purposes in the mid-2000. This was on Facebook. This helped me in beating the boredom, making new friends worldwide to name a few. Again, there was a break until I found this amazing site - Plays.org

What did I like about the site?

1. They have a wide range of games

2. New games are added on a regular basis

3. FREE browser-based games

Adding the list of games they had to offer. Please do note that this is not an exhaustive list:

All you need to do is hit the home page, register yourself for FREE and start enjoying the games. This would come handy for those who want to beat the boredom or to keep their kids engaged.

I personally liked Pac Rat (similar to Pac Man). One can even rate the games after playing them.

Other games I have liked but not limited to include:

These games have brought back my childhood memories. I wish you all to take a look at this fun and addictive site. Try it once. You will thank me later.

What you are spoken correspondence is thoroughly evident. I do realize that everybody should say a comparative factor, anyway I just expect that you essentially place it in an extremely strategy that everyone will see. I'm positive you may arrive at such a ton of people with what you\'ve to make reference to.
