January 21, 2024: India’s Green Startups, a book co-authored by Jayant Sinha, former Union Minister of State for Finance and Civil Aviation, and Sandiip Bhammer, Founder and Managing Partner of Green Frontier Capital, has been officially launched. Published by Juggernaut Books under the leadership of Chiki Sarkar, the book features a foreword by Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys and founding chairman of UIDAI Aadhaar.

 

The book offers a comprehensive exploration of India’s green innovation ecosystem, showcasing the transformative role of green startups in addressing the global climate crisis and driving India toward a sustainable economy. It chronicles the journeys of 14 pioneering entrepreneurs who have combined business acumen with environmental stewardship to create meaningful impact.

 

Jayant Sinha, renowned for introducing India’s first net-zero legislation as a private member’s bill in 2021, offers deep insights into policy and sustainability. Sandiip Bhammer, a seasoned climate-tech investor and Managing Partner at Green Frontier Capital, adds his extensive early-stage green investing experience and commitment to driving innovation in sustainable industries. Together, they present a compelling narrative on India’s startup-driven green revolution. India’s Green Startups delves into the transformative role of green startups in tackling the global climate crisis and driving India’s shift toward a sustainable economy.

 

The book has earned accolades from prominent figures across business, academia, and sports, including Rajat Gupta, Vinod Khosla, Amitabh Kant, Prof. Tarun Khanna, Dr. Soumitra Dutta, Prof. Madan Pillutla, Dr. Pawan Munjal, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Ritu Marya.
