New Delhi, 6th May 2025: ABP Network’s India @ 2047 Summit, a defining platform that sets the national discourse on India’s transformation into a fully Viksit Bharat by the centenary of its independence, witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modisharing his vision to the nation, stating, “We are witnessing the reflection of a transforming Bharat which is emboldening its voice in every sector. The biggest dream of this transformingnation is the making of Viksit Bharat by 2047. The nation has the capability, the resources, and the willpower to make this happen.”

 

Speaking about today’s Bharat, he said, "Today, I see the sentiments of relentless pursuit of this dream in every citizen and in the active participation of the youth. This is a historic day for Bharat. Today, India-UK Free Trade Agreement was finalized, which will add new chapters of economic development between two of the largest open market economies. India is actively engaging with other nations to realize its ambitions. Nationalinterest will always be our topmost priority."

 

In his keynote address, PM Modi stated, "Today's India is advancing rapidly, embracing human-centric globalization. Instead of GDP centric progress, we are focussing on GEE, which stands for “gross empowerment of people.” Our policies are empowering people. “Hum janta me janardhan dekhnewale log hai.”, he added.

 

Talking about the importance of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Aatmanirbharta is at the core of our economic DNA today. India is emerging as a leading exporter and importer of defense products. Similarly, in the electronics sector, such as mobile phone manufacturing, our local products are gaining global recognition. Our exports reached $825 billion in recent years. Additionally, we announced a Mission Manufacturing initiative in this year’s budget.”

 

Showcasing the government's achievements, he said, "One of our key achievements is digitization, which has eliminated age-old, cumbersome processes. Digital India has improved the ease of living. We are promoting digital payments, as well as Ayurveda and yoga. We are moving forward with Vikas(development) and Virasat (heritage) together.”

 

“To take big decisions and achieve our objectives, it is important that National Interest be kept paramount and its strength and capability be trusted.” PM Modi stated. “Earlier governments had prioritized vested interests and vote-bank politics over national interest which delayed big reforms and weakened bold decision making required for national development.”

 

Talking about the previous government's failures, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Today, our banking sector is witnessing profits, and Air India has been revived, which the previous government failed to achieve. The previous government couldn’t ensure that the poor received funds, but we have ensured this through direct benefit transfer schemes. The previous government disbursed money to 10 crore fraudulent accounts tied to people who don’t even exist. We have saved more than 3.5 lakh crore from being siphoned into such accounts.”

 

Talking about the recent decision of the Government on Indus Water Treaty, PM Modi said, “Previously, India’s water wasflowing to other countries. Now, India’s Water will flow, stop, and be utilized for India’s Interest.”

 

He further added, “In 2014, when our government was formed, people had lost trust in governance. Today, India can proudly say: democracy can deliver. This is because of the work our government has done across multiple sectors."

 

He discussed how the One Rank One Pension scheme benefits our defense forces. Additionally, he added, “While the previous government only talked about reservations, we took concrete steps to implement them.” Talking about abolishing Triple Talaq, he said that “The law previously harmed many Muslim women in the past. Now these women are protected”.
