Book Review - Warlock : Valley Of Death

Title - Warlock : Valley Of Death Author - Vickram E Diwan Genre - Fiction Publisher - Sooraj Pocket Books ISBN - 978-9388-094115 This is the sequel to the earlier release under the same main title - Warlock . If you have read that book, you would have surely been waiting for the release of this book. Vickram has once again delivered the best through this book. Usually the sequels would be not that interesting or appealing but this one has exceeded the expectations, for sure. Author knew where his story is headed to and has framed the sequences in such a way that you would wanted to finish the book in one go. The world of sorcery and its effects as been mentioned in such a way that you feel like getting goosebumps when you read it. The book has a real good outer cover which gives you an idea as to what this story is all about and as you could read from the synopsis, this is a war between two - Warlock who is the master of Satanic black magic and Indian Tantra...

Are the discounts you get on food, for real?

How many of us are real lazy(let us accept the fact) in going out with our family to order food? Don't we agree that we did this only when we venture out for longer hours - preferably for a movie, groceries shopping or otherwise.  To add to our delight, when we see some steep discounts, we do not tend to think twice before going ahead in placing the order. I am no exception. I must admit that. My intention is not to demean the brands which is involved in this but to create a general awareness on this topic. Gone are the days, where we, the human beings use to go out during the weekends or on special occasion but all these were restricted to a greater extent. Thanks to technology. It shrunk the world. With programs day in day out on the weekend and during festival, we tend to stay indoors and to add more to this, we also use to get anywhere up to 50% discount on food. I still remember that during last Diwali, I too did avail this opportunity and for a family of 4, I ended ...

Classroom Kitchen with Masterchef Australia 2018 Winner Sashi Cheliah

It was an evening to remember. MasterChef Australia 2018 winner  Sashi Cheliah  made it real interesting through his lively interaction with the kids and their parents. He answered all the questions without giving a second thought. Most importantly, he answered them all with a smile. This event was organised in association with MMRT42 & MMLC7 and the proceeds were given to the charity. As you could see from the pic, it was an house-full event. While   Sumeru   was the main partner,   Lexus India   was the Luxury Partner. # Sumeru  is the leading brand when it comes to frozen foods. They have been associated earlier with Michelin Star Chef  # AlfredPrasad  and now with The MasterChef title winner. Hi-Tea was served which was really lavish. Sashi did prepare the winning dish which was a delight to watch. After this, we have had the photo op session. I was glad that he obliged to autograph as well on the Masterchef b...

Restaurant Review - The Reef, Sheraton Grand Resort & Spa

I have had an opportunity to visit The Reef at Sheraton Grand Resort and Spa yesterday. Though there was a sudden downpour which threw the traffic haywire and took almost 2.5 hours for us to reach the venue, it was certainly worth the time. I was there to try Flavoursome Fridays and below mentioned is the experience of my visit. A lavish spread of buffet. The Reef is certainly a place one should visit. The theme of the interiors were designed combining sea, sand & the restaurant and this alone took 6 months. There are few specialities which is certainly worth mentioning: 1. They have a 24/7 ice cream counter. Hence those who are staying in the property can have it at any time, as per their wish. 2. There is a dedicated chat counter (which isn’t there in any of the 5-Star rated restaurants). 3. There is a dedicated counter for the western cuisine. This place has its own oven that the pizza and pastas were made on demand from 11am to 11pm. 4...

Book Review - Super Cop of Aryavrat

Title - Super Cop of Aryavrat Author - Mithilesh Kumar Genre - Fiction Publisher - authors upfront ISBN - 978-9-38728-036-6 An excellent portrayal of one of the greatest epics of all time - Mahabaratha. We all would have read about this in various forms. Some of them were real bulky. This is a 286 page book which has captured the essence of the epic in a way that is most appropriate to 21st Century. I was really delighted to read this book for the fact he has rewritten the epic without changing the story but at the same time, made it more appealing. The protagonist of the story is none other than Lord Krishna and now you would have got to know as to who is the Super Cop. The story revolves around him - right from HIS childhood till the end of his human form in this Earth. I was glad to get to know as to when this has actually happened. This has happened in 3228 B.C. What I had seen in the television was more of super natural powers The Lord possessed which w...

Gadget Review - Infinix S4

Smartphones has become an integral part of our live. There is nothing that this gadget could do. It has literally shrunk the world by doing all that would have been done physically. We, in India have been flooded with various brands leaving us in confusion as to which one to choose. The selection is usually based on two parameters. They are: 1. Costing 2. Performance Costing plays a vital part in smartphone selection followed closely by performance. When both these comes together in a single package, users/consumers wouldn't have to think twice but to grab it. This is what has happened in my case. People who knows me well also knows about my affinity towards a particular brand for a decade. This brand was on a super premium category. Just when I was wondering as to whether I could get some make/model which is cost effective and also coupled with performance, I managed to chance upon Infinix S4 . I was stunned by the pricing and the performance. You could see me ...
