Book Review - Life Without Fear

Title - Life Without Fear Authors - Santosh Avvannavar & Rajashree Ghosh Genre - Fiction Publisher - Amazon Kindle ASIN -  B0839B7RL4 This is a novella which runs less than 25 pages but carry forward a strong meaning/message. The title is very much apt for the story and the protagonist Roni. Though the story may not be relevant to India at the moment, with the changes happening across various front, people might start accepting the facts mentioned in the book sooner or later. The book talks about same sex relationship in a subtle manner. I have witnessed this first hand back in mid 2000's when one of my colleague was one. Thankfully, we all came from various background and we never treated him any different. However, this may not be the case elsewhere.  Let us read the book with an open mind and I am sure you would appreciate the content and the way the story was penned. This book is available on Amazon in the kindle format.

Book Review – Peppered Minds

Title – Peppered Minds Author – Om Somani Genre - Fiction Publisher – Notion Press As soon as I saw the title and cover page of the novel, I got the hunch that there is going to be some good comic ride awaiting me. The novel stretches over 300 pages but I breezed through. It’s fun reading the book. With hilarity and it also conveyed message that we Indians should not consume too much chilli-dominated food because it draws curtains on our ability to think creatively and innovatively. The novel’s story is told through some characters using a general sort of point of narration. But all characters are likeable and pure to their roles and peculiarities. The story is about a young man named Neeraj, in fact he is the protagonist. He lives in Jaipur with his middle-class funny family. He gets selected for the post of a geologist in a government company in Hyderabad. A lot of pre-departure preparation has been captured by the author very finely, as I could relate how ne...

Book Review – Ripples of Eternal Love

Title - Ripples of Eternal Love Author - Pravin Pandey Genre - Fiction Publisher - 24by7Publishing A simple and slow-paced novel about nature and the river Swarnrekha and the people like fishermen. This is one of its kind novels. I was bemused to find that the author has given too much focus on the river than the characters that it affects. I really enjoyed this novel, though it started a bit slow, for one strong reason that I too love sitting around the rivers and sea. The story is about a boy and his friendship with Dina Ram, a fisherman. The story is set into a village where the boy whiles away his time by sitting around the river and also observes the river as it flows silently. But the boy has a very little knowledge about the river. Soon he builds good understanding with that fisherman and he gets to hear a lot of incidents that happen in and around the river. In the suspense is Malti, Dina Ram’s daughter. The boy is dazed by her brilliance and talent and...

Why? Firstly, it is the content. Though the trailer runs less th...

Book Review - The Accursed God : The Lost Epic - Book 1

Title - The Accursed God : The Lost Epic - Book 1 Author - Vivek Dutta Genre - Fiction Publisher - Eduworld Publishers ASIN -  B082RGH4JD There were lot of books which is available out there that talk about Mahabaratha. Since this is one of the two major epics of India, most of us would know the story as a whole. Credits should be given to various authors who has relentlessly written or translated this epic in various languages. Though the main book is written by Ved Vyas, all the books that followed were based on this actual epic. We have also seen the epic on television as tele-serial or as a movie in the big screen. I too had the same thoughts when I saw the title. I must also openly admit that I knew the epic in full but only when I started reading this book, I started feeling the truth. Please note that like most of the readers, even I have read only the generic version and not the real version – written by Ved Vyas. The book is a real lengthy o...
